About This Agency
The Santa Clara County Harm Reduction Program, operated by the county’s Public Health Department, provides sterile syringes, sharps containers, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and overdose support along with HIV, hepatitis C, and STI testing at sites across San Jose and Gilroy. The program was renamed the Sexual Health & Harm Reduction Program (SHHRP) in 2022 to reflect its combined focus on preventing HIV, hepatitis C, and overdose deaths.
