About This Agency
The UChicago Harm Reduction Project (UCHRP) organizes harm reduction and overdose prevention efforts across Chicago, having distributed over 13,000 doses of Narcan (naloxone) through hospitals, libraries, and community organizations, along with fentanyl test strips. Its Appalseed initiative has also moved dozens of people into stable housing as part of a comprehensive harm reduction approach.
