About This Agency
The Substance Use Intervention Team (SUIT) at Rush University Medical Center is an interdisciplinary consultation service of addiction medicine physicians, advanced practice nurses, social workers, and pharmacists who identify and treat hospitalized patients at risk for substance use disorders. Pharmacists on the team provide naloxone overdose-intervention education and training, and the team can prescribe naloxone and medications for alcohol or opioid use disorder and refer patients to Rush’s outpatient addiction medicine clinic.
