About This Agency
Santa Clara County Needle Exchange, now operating as the county’s Sexual Health & Harm Reduction Program (SHHRP), provides one-for-one syringe exchange, sharps containers, and naloxone distribution at sites in San Jose and Sunnyvale. In fiscal year 2023 the program distributed 8,600 doses of naloxone and supported roughly 650 overdose reversals.
