About This Agency
UIC Community Outreach Intervention Projects (COIP), affiliated with the UIC School of Public Health since 1986, provides client-centered, evidence-based harm reduction services through five storefront locations and mobile units across Chicago, including syringe exchange, naloxone distribution and overdose prevention education, and HIV/Hepatitis C testing. COIP also operates a primary care clinic offering medication for opioid use disorder, HCV treatment, HIV care, and PrEP.
