How to Access Services
Getting Started
GMHC offers free naloxone and fentanyl test strips, overdose education and virtual trainings, individual and group counseling, medication assisted treatment (MAT), case management, and a syringe access program with vouchers redeemable at an on-site pharmacy. Open to adults 18+, no insurance needed as programs are grant-funded, and HIV-positive status is not required. Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) offers Substance Use Services with a harm reduction, no-judgment approach, providing access to safer use resources and care with no waitlist. GMHC also provides broader HIV prevention, testing, and care services from its New York City offices.
