About This Agency

Alliance for Prevention and Wellness (APW), a program of BHcare, is one of Connecticut’s five Regional Behavioral Health Action Organizations, serving 34-36 towns in the South-Central region from its Ansonia office. APW provides naloxone distribution, mental health and suicide prevention trainings, and has distributed more than 1,400 naloxone kits to parents, school nurses, outreach workers, first responders, and shelters, along with mobile harm reduction outreach distributing naloxone and fentanyl test strips.
